Maree Hopgood is GAT AGENCY’s energetic Director and Founder of the business. After studying a Bachelor of Management (Marketing) in 2008, she went on the adventure of a life time, undertaking a public relations internship in New York City. Maree worked for high end fashion designer, Brian Reyes, in the PR department during New York Fashion Week.

After the bright lights of New York city, Maree returned home to work for a major Adelaide based PR agency, where she established herself as a Senior Account Manager. During her four years at the agency she successfully managed the accounts for national brands including David Jones, Harris Scarfe and the Good Food & Wine Show, as well as local brands including The Collins Bar, the Chiropractor’s Association of South Australia and the South Australian Jockey Club.

In 2014 Maree stepped out on her own, launching GAT Agency, formally known as Girl About Town. Recognising the power of influencers, Maree bridged the gap between traditional and social media, creating effective communications strategies to align and complement the two channels. Heading into its eight year of business in 2022, GAT Agency has flourished, with an ever-growing client base and service offering including the likes of David Jones, Rundle Mall, Westfield, Vogue Festival, H&M, Hurley Hotel Group, AAMI Insurance, Howard Vineyard, Cibo Espresso and Bickfords Group of Venues.

Maree is passionate about helping others and has been a committee member for the Make-A-Wish Foundation for over eight years.
